Rhinebeck has wonderful shops, galleries, antique stores and fine restaurants. Attend the Rhinebeck Performing Arts Center adjacent to our farm and offering entertaining events throughout the entire year, or play tennis at the nearby Rhinebeck Tennis Club. The historic mansions of the Mills, Roosevelt and Vanderbilt's are a short drive away, with their views of the Hudson River, they are spectacular and ideal for afternoon walks and picnics. Fresh water lakes offer swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Hiking and biking trails are numerous. Wineries offering tours and tastings are a fun for the afternoon. The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome located just down the road offers shows on the weekends and walking tours daily, through the summer and fall seasons. Come and relax and enjoy!

A large romantic room with sweeping views of the horse farm. Rustic furnishings include a vintage Old Towne Canoe suspended from the ceiling, a cherry writing desk and a large pine armoire. Cherry hardwood floors and oriental rugs add to the rustic charm. The seating area in front of the gas fireplace looks south to a brick patio. The loveseat opens into a twin sleeper and an antique brass twin bed is tucked in a private alcove. This is a great room for a group of friends traveling together or a small family. The private bathroom has French doors and a large whirlpool tub and shower combination.

This original master bedroom has been upgraded with country oak floors. A French pocket door leads to a large shower in the bathroom where there is also a large vanity with a beautiful antique cherry mirror. Thru the sliding doors there is a private deck, the views look north past the old stone walls into the forest. Listen to the woodpeckers and songbirds from your deck. An antique hand carved cherry desk and dresser furnish this large room and hunt prints adorn the walls. There is a large King size bed and in a corner a comfy twin bed for an additional guest.

Our largest room is spacious and warm as well. A Grand oak king-size bed takes one corner of the room. A comfortable leather sofa and chairs in front of the fieldstone fireplace make a cozy seating area. The cathedral ceilings boast skylights and a large elk horn chandelier. Rustic furnishings include a writing desk, empire dresser, walnut armoire and oriental rugs. The bathroom has a pocket door, pine ceilings, natural bluestone floors and tub surround with a separate shower and a beautiful hand painted pedestal sink, make and interesting bath area.

THE CARRIAGE HOUSE (a short walk from the main lodge)

The renovated barn is rustic in décor with many conveniences. There is a shared convenience kitchen with a wall of books, puzzles and magazines for quiet times. A coffee maker, tea kettle, microwave and refrigerator are present for your use. The rooms here all have private patios surrounded by the woods; the location of the carriage house is in the middle of the farm, off the beaten path, with a sense of privacy.

A sunny light room, featuring the Waverly Sweet Violet theme. Traditional style cherry queen-size bed and birds-eye maple desk, and dresser furnish the room.
